Recently, Rob and I set an afternoon date, and I have a feeling it will be the first of many to come.
Our day started with an 11:30 movie. Peep the old man and old lady emojis below that clearly illustrate how we felt about leaving our place for a night an early morning out together.
We saw Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep in The Post for peanuts since it was the matinee showing(major pro!). The pros don’t end there– It felt so good to leave a movie with the entire day ahead of us!
After the movie, we decided to try a nearby Chinese restaurant, Little Dumpling, for lunch.
Everything about this date felt perfect: no yawning, no daily life/work stress accompanying us on this date. There was nothing to unleash or complain about since it was so early! Our day was beginning with one another and this helped us focus on just enjoying each other’s company.
By the time we got home from our lunch date it was about 3pm. This worked out especially well for us on this particular day since Anthony had a basketball game at 4:30 and Robert had indoor baseball practice sometime thereafter. Win-win all around.
What a beautiful way to begin a day.
